4 months after its first release… today’s game: Car Sort
The game was developed by the Turkish company Libra Softworks, founded in 2017.
Libra is actually a self publishing casual puzzle studio, and according to AppMagic data, the titles they’ve published generated around $2.26M in IAP revenue and approximately 8.2M installs overall.
Libra has 3 major titles:
Word Universe - Crossword
Hidden Wordz - Word Puzzle
And Joy Blast
You might remember Joy Blast already:
In December 2021, Libra received a $30M investment from Esas Ventures and Actera Group during its Series A round advised by Core Finance.
After the investment, the team behind Joy Blast first scaled by increasing downloads and revenue at the same time. Later, they reduced download volume and fully shifted focus toward maximizing IAP revenue, eventually pushing the game to around $80K-$100K monthly IAP revenue levels.
Today… Joy Blast is basically a dead game.
And Libra is a hybrid puzzle studio working with Rollic.
Car Sort is a game released at the end of January 2026.
The objective is very simple:
You send cars into an endless road loop and try to stack all cars with matching colors together, similar to water sort games.
But unlike water sort games, you’re not directly deciding which parking area a car should go to. You only throw cars onto the road, and then the cars enter a chaotic circulation system where they search for order inside the traffic flow.
(BTW, Philosophically, it actually feels somewhat similar to Hexa Sort in terms of idle puzzle sensation.)
Rollic also doesn’t seem to have fully scaled or killed this game yet, because the game has continued receiving regular updates every month, including another update just within the last 10 days.
According to AppMagic data, Car Sort has generated around 136K downloads and $294K IAP revenue in total.
I think this game still has some weaknesses.
Maybe in a post around June, instead of doing another pure deconstruction, I could do a re-construction and explore how Car Sort could achieve a much stronger level design structure and create alternative blueprints.
